<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent slipping-out of a cylindrical body, while restraining complication of manufacturing work of a gear device. <P>SOLUTION: This gear device includes an outer cylinder 2 fixable to one mating side member, a crankshaft 20, a carrier 4 fixably constituted in the other mating side member, forming a through-hole 4b and relatively rotating to the outer cylinder 2 by interlocking with rotation of the crankshaft 20, and the cylindrical body 8 inserted into the through-hole 4b of the carrier 4. Projection parts 41-44 are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder body 8 by plastically deforming the cylinder body.
