The invention relates to thoracic equipment for electromagnetic field application in the treatment of chronic wounds, consisting of a chair with a backrest and seat that can be positioned automatically by means of motors that actuate linearly moving pistons. The entire piece of equipment is controlled by means of a PC and a visual interface that can be used to display data relating to the patient's medical file and history and lesion monitoring in terms of the reduction in the size thereof following treatment. The magnetic field is generated by means of two rectangular Helmholtz coils positioned on the sides of the thorax. The interface communicates with the PC via a USB that includes a series of input and output ports for communicating with the actuators, field generators and the microcontroller.
