The method involves merging terminals e.g. home station (12), alarm system (14) and door station (16), into networks (20, 22, 24, 26), and generating a data file. Identifiers are assigned to map references. A home interphone is provided with the terminals with an identifier. One of the map references is adjusted. The data file is centrally stored in a server (10). An adjusting device (48) adjusts the map references and added with one of the terminals. The map references are converted into a text file, where the home station comprises a speaker (28), a microphone (30) and a memory (32). An independent claim is also included for a home interphone comprising two terminals.
