PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which can reduce the number of times of occurrence of a display interruption to a minimum extent.

SOLUTION: A recording medium 100 has an index table, an operation mode object and applications recorded therein. The index table shows a title and correspondence of the title and the operation mode object. The operation mode object includes an application management table and initialization information of a display rate. The application management table has information for instructing an application to be started to a reproducing device, and makes the reproducing device conduct application signaling of title boundary, when the title corresponding to the operation mode object is selected as a current title. The initialization information of the display rate includes a display frequency of picture data to be reproduced in the current title.
