<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent multiplex ice making from being generated in an ice making section and suitably cancel the multiplex ice making even if it is generated in the ice making section. <P>SOLUTION: An ice making machine detects an ice lump that fell from an ice making section by an ice detection switch during deicing operation to compare a detection count number of ice lumps counted by the ice detection switch from the completion of a deicing operation with a preset standard count number. When the detected count number is equal to or larger than a standard count number, ice making operation is performed. When the detected count number is less than or equal to the standard count number, the deicing operation is performed again.
