<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need for starting a stopped disk device when receiving a write instruction to a rank which is in an energy saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: A disk array device comprises a control unit which performs control to write data, which is supposed to be written into a stopped first disk device from a host device, into a second disk device different from the first disk device, when the disk array device transmits/receives the instruction and the data to/from the host device and the first disk device forming a RAID is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
