<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide neck allowing a feed to drop from a transportation pipe to a place separated to some extent in the horizontal direction. <P>SOLUTION: The slide neck 10 includes a slide member 20 moved along the axial line direction of the transportation pipe 9 so as to open and close an opening 8 formed in the transportation pipe 9. In the slide neck 10, a neck body 11 for covering the outer peripheral side in the lower part of the transportation pipe 9, slidably holding the slide member 20 between the neck body 11 and the transportation pipe 9, and having a passage 12 for passing a feed dropped from the opening 8 is provided; and a cap 30 for covering the outer peripheral side in the upper part of the transportation pipe 9, and fitting onto the upper part of the neck body 11 is installed.
