PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify surface condition of an observation object from a camera image.

SOLUTION: A surface condition classification device inputs an observed image photographing a surface of an observation object, applies a constant optical model to a luminance value of each pixel of the observed image, estimates a surface condition of the observation object by solving the constant optical model which is applied, and classifies the surface condition of the observation object on the basis of the estimated result.
