The turbo machine (1) has a bearing housing (30), a shaft (40), an impeller and a sealing (50), where the shaft is rotatably supported in an inner chamber (31) of the bearing housing. The impeller is arranged in an impeller space (22) above the inner chamber and is connected with a longitudinal end of the shaft by a weld seam. A sealing surface material of the sealing surface forms a separating layer arranged between the sealing and the impeller. A sleeve is made of steel or an iron-based alloy.
