<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dresser having a small diameter abrasive grain that has not been achieved before. <P>SOLUTION: The dresser includes: a layered DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) film having a thickness of ≥0.05 μm and >40 μm formed on a base member; and a granular DLC with a diameter of ≥0.1 μm and ≤40 μm.
