Disclosed is a terminal location specifying system, wherein on the basis of general location information relating to a mobile terminal, landmark information relating to a landmark present within a predetermined distance from the general location thereof is retrieved, and the retrieved landmark information is transmitted to the mobile terminal. Consequently, the mobile terminal can acquire the landmark information relating to the landmark present around the motile terminal. Since the landmark information previously stored in a server is transmitted to the mobile terminal, the specification of the location of the mobile terminal based on a landmark image is reliably enabled. On the basis of the landmark image, the capture location of the image is analyzed, and the capture location, as the location where the mobile terminal is present, is managed in the mobile terminal, and used for the correction of the location, thereby making it possible to specify the location of the mobile terminal with high accuracy. |
