<p>The vehicle has an air bag (10) e.g. head air bag, arranged in a steering wheel or an dashboard (2) of a motor vehicle in a non-inflated condition, where the air bag is inflatable with gas for protection of a passenger (I), who occupies a seat (1). An air bag (20) with an edge area (21) is extended along an A-column (4) of the motor vehicle in an inflated condition, where the edge area is turned towards a vehicle front (3). The air bags cover the A-column for protection of the passenger. A sensor unit detects force acting on a vehicle front due to a collision along a force direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for releasing a passenger restraint device.</p> |
