<p>PURPOSE: A turbo expander for a power generation system is provided to reduce costs and footprints by integrating components used for power generation. CONSTITUTION: A turbo expander for a power generation system comprises an expander section(404), a pump section(408), a motor-generator section(406), a heat exchanger, and a condenser. The expander section is connected to the outlet of the heat exchanger and accepts the vapor stream of fluid. The pump section is connected to the outlet of the condenser and accepts the liquid stream of the fluid. And the pump section circulates the fluid in a power generation system. The motor-generator section generates and outputs an electric current.</p> |
