The invention relates to a method for installing a vehicle-monitoring apparatus, which makes it possible to determine a measurement angular deviation that is used to carry out monitoring measurements. The measurement angular deviation is obtained from an optical viewing angle, which is in turn determined from a vanishing point (F) of a photographic image captured with the apparatus. The method can be entirely automated and distance measurements are no longer required to be physically carried out along a road where the vehicle-monitoring is carried out. The method can be used in particular for monitoring vehicle speeds using a Doppler speed-measuring system. |
