PURPOSE: A field electron emission device is provided to reduce a failure rate by performing a packaging process with the spacer and the gate insulator of a block shape. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(30) is prepared in a discharge space. An anode electrode and a gate electrode are maintained at a regular interval by a plurality of spacers. The insulation and the interval of the gate electrode and the cathode electrode are maintained by a plurality of gate insulators. Two or more spacers or gate insulators are integrally connected with a connection part in a spacer(110) and a gate insulator(210) . One of the spacer and the gate insulator is made of the block shape.
