PURPOSE: A composition containing extract of Chrysanthemum indicum Linne. and Rheum undulatum is provided to reduce cytokine secretion in atopic skin and to relieve atopic dermatitis symptom. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis contains mixture extract of Chrysanthemum indicum Linne. and Rheum undulatum as an active ingredient. A method for preparing Rheum undulatum comprises: a step of mixing Rhei Rhizoma pieces and Oryza sativa fruit wine; a step of steaming the mixture. The mixture extract is isolate using 1,3-butyelen glycol. A neutraceutical food for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis contains the mixture extract as an active ingredient. An external use skin formulation or cosmetic composition for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis contains the mixture extract as an active ingredient. The mixture extract is formed in a nanoliposome.
