PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain orthogonality with a LTE even if an IFDMA is employed.

SOLUTION: A receiver, that receives a radio signal in which a plurality of reference signals with allocated subcarriers being arranged at different intervals are multiplexed, eliminates all the reference signals from the received radio signals except for any one certain reference signal, and estimates propagation path characteristics of the one certain reference signal as well as estimates propagation path characteristics of any other reference signal based on the propagation path characteristics of the one certain reference signal and the received radio signals. Further, the radio signal includes the reference signal assigned to the subcarriers continuously arranged and the reference signal assigned to the subcarriers arranged discretely.
