<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device, which has attained both of deterioration suppression in a lead acid battery and cost reduction by installing a high-performance storage battery (secondary storage battery) in addition to a lead acid battery, capable of further attaining avoidance of overcharge and overdischarge of the secondary storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device includes: a lead acid battery 20 that can charge electric power generated by an alternator 10 (generator); a lithium storage battery 30 (secondary storage battery) that is electrically connected to the lead acid battery 20 in parallel, can charge generated power and that has a higher output density or energy density than that of the lead acid battery 20; and switching means that is electrically connected between the alternator 10, the lead acid battery 20 and the lithium storage battery 30 and that switches between energization and cut-off. In the switching means, MOS-FETs 50 and 60 (semiconductor switches) are connected in series such that parasitic diodes 51 and 61 in the respective semiconductor switches face in the opposite direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
