Neuropsychopharmacological treatment regimes are provided for treating a range of psychological disorders including depression and their sub-threshold forms. A number of treatment protocols are disclosed, comprising a synergistic combination of oxytocin and oestrogen which target the hypothalamopituitary adrenal axis, in combination with antidepressant agents. These treatment protocols may be used alone or in combination with other behavioural modification therapies, for the treatment of psychological disorders such as depression and symptoms of depression. Compositions, medicaments and agents comprising combinations of oxytocin, oestrogen and anti-depressants are also disclosed. |
