The device has a support frame (10) clamping a shaft (34) or bearing of the shaft. The support frame is arranged adjacent to a locking disk (32), and comprises a curved slot (12). A locking unit (18) is displaceably supported in the slot, and comprises an adjustable locking bolt in a locked position, where the locking bolt is engaged in one of locking openings. A plate-shaped mounting element (42) for the locking unit is provided in the curved slot, and fixes a position of the locking unit in the slot in a stepless manner. The frame is attached at a machine carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for locking a drive train of a wind power plant.
