<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding seal component whose sliding-surface-side abutment is free from abrasion damage, has a low-friction surface, is superior in sealing performance and superior in durability. <P>SOLUTION: The sliding seal component has an annular shape and is mounted in a seal groove formed on the sliding surface of a sliding member such as a piston. The sliding seal component has a cross-section of a composition of: the sliding-surface-side abutment which is arranged at a sliding-surface-side opening of the seal groove and extends in the thickness direction of the sliding seal component along the sliding-surface-side opening; a groove-bottom-side abutment which is arranged at a bottom of the seal groove and extends in the thickness direction of the sliding seal component along the bottom of the seal groove; and a bendable inclined elastic part which is formed incliningly extending from one side end of the sliding-surface-side abutment with respect to its thickness direction to the another side end of the groove-bottom-side abutments with respect to its thickness direction, the one side end being on a high pressure side with respect to the thickness direction of the sliding-surface-side abutment. Furthermore, the sealing by the sliding seal component can be performed by absorbing displacement between the sliding members such as the piston and a cylinder by deformation of the bendable inclined elastic part without sliding of the sliding seal component in case of very small operating distance of the sliding member such as the piston. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
