<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator unit where work can be efficiently performed and an apparatus can be constituted to be compact. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of first actuators 40 are adjacently arranged in parallel to form a first hierarchy. A plurality of second actuators 50 are adjacently disposed in parallel to form a second hierarchy. The first and the second hierarchies are located so that they are laminated in a thickness direction Z orthogonal to an axial direction Y of the first actuator 40 and an axial direction X of the second actuator 50. The axial direction Y of the first actuator 40 and the axial direction X of the second actuator 50 cross each other to extend if viewed from the thickness direction Z.
