<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the inside diameter in the end part of a metallic tube with excellent dimensional accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: Equipment for correcting the end part of the metallic tube is provided with a plug 3 for expanding the end part of the metallic tube 1, a chuck 2 for fixing the metallic tube 1, and a movement device for moving the positions of the plug 3 and/or the chuck 2. The cross section of the plug 3 is circular, and the plug 3 is continuously formed of a tapered part 31 and an equal diameter part 32 in order from the tip. The outside diameter of the tapered part 31 is gradually enlarged from the tip toward the rear end, and the expressions: 22≤LR/(D1×0.01/2)≤115 and R2>R1 are satisfied.
