<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylic thermoplastic resin having a little volatile content when heated and excellent heat resistance, and to provide a method for producing an acrylic film. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing an acrylic thermoplastic resin comprises polymerizing a monomer mixture containing a methacrylic acid ester by 70 to 99.9 mass% (on a basis of 100 mass% of the monomer mixture) in the presence of an azo-based polymerization initiator, in which the polymerization is carried out to satisfy a relationship expressed by formula (0):Tp≤T<SB POS="POST">10</SB>+1, wherein T<SB POS="POST">10</SB>[°C] represents a 10 hour half-life temperature of the azo-based polymerization initiator and Tp [°C] represents the inner temperature of the monomer mixture when the polymerization rate reaches 15%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
