<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate and verify the performance and the characteristics of steam generators of a plurality of types each having different performance and characteristics by changing the verifying condition of the same verifying device. <P>SOLUTION: Water chambers 105, 106, a heat transfer tube 107, a gas-water separator 108, a liquid storage plate 109 and the like are arranged in a cylindrical body 101 of the verifying device 100 and recirculation water Wc stored on the storage plate 109 is taken out by a take-out pipe 131 and naturally falls down in a tank 120 for void generation. The recirculation water Wc is passed through a down comer pipe 133 and is supplied to a tube bundle part of the cylindrical body 101 through a water supply ring 110a. On the other hand, the recirculation water Wc is supplied to a water supply mixing box 121 through a connection pipe 134 to be mixed with secondary cooling water W2 to form a mixed water Wm. The mixed water Wm flows in the down comer pipe 136 to be supplied to the tube bundle part of the cylinder body 101 through the water supply ring 110b.
