<p>Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, device and system for forwarding data under the protocol independent multicast (PIM) dual join, relating to the field of communication, complementing the method for standby incoming interface to forward data under the PIM dual join in the PIM protocol, contributing to implement the compatibility in various manufacturers, and reducing the restriction of network topology on the application of the PIM protocol. The method includes: when the main incoming interface is available, the router forwards the multicast data received from the standby incoming interface to the main incoming interface in join state; when the main incoming interface is not available, before the new main incoming interface and/or standby incoming interface are selected, the router forwards the multicast data received from the standby incoming interface to all of the interfaces in join state or to all other interfaces in join state except the standby incoming interface.</p> |
