VISUAL RECOGNITION SUPPORT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual recognition support device capable of allowing a driver to visually recognize vehicle external information easily and properly with a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: The visual recognition support device for a vehicle includes: imaging means 7 for photographing a scene outside a vehicle; and display image generating means for generating an image of an area of a dead angle for a driver as a display image based on the data of the photographed scene outside the vehicle and shape data of the vehicle. A display section 11 which displays the display image generated by the display image generating means is provided inside the vehicle. The display image generating means noted above generates an image of an area including the area of the dead angle for the driver and a peripheral area thereof as a display image and displays the display image including the peripheral area on the display section 11.
