PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress phenomena such as color unevenness and color shift by efficiently removing noise components present in the chroma component of image signal obtained by using an image sensor such as a solid state imaging device.

SOLUTION: A multiple resolution conversion processing unit 81 converts three or more images into a plurality of layer images of multiple resolution image. A correction processing unit 86 corrects a single image among three or more images, in each layer image except for the layer image of lowest resolution among the converted layer images, based on the relationship among the three or more images. A multiple resolution invert conversion processing unit 90 subjects each layer image that has been corrected to a multiple resolution invert conversion. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device.
