PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter which has a high capturing capacity and is small in channel resistance.

SOLUTION: The filter which captures foreign substances present in a fluid has an inflow surface and an outflow surface of the fluid, and is equipped with both a substrate which has a plurality of bends formed to project towards at least either of the inflow surface and the outflow surface and openings which are formed in the bends to face in a different direction from the projection direction of the bends and make the inflow surface side of the substrate communicate with the outflow surface side.
