The present invention provides an online accounting method, a communication apparatus and communication system. The online accounting method includes the following steps: attribute information and a service accounting request of an access apparatus are obtained (11); an access network type corresponding to the attribute information of the access apparatus is determined according to a preestablished mapping relationship between access network types and attribute information of access apparatuses (12); the service accounting request and the determined access network type are transmitted to an online accounting system which performs online accounting according to the service accounting request and the access network type (13). In the present invention, the type of an access network which an access apparatus accesses actually is determined and transmitted to an online accounting system so that the online accounting system is capable of providing accounting to services of different access networks, and online accounting of multi-network services is realized.
