<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of distance measurement in a distance measuring device. <P>SOLUTION: In the distance measuring device, power of a composite wave of a transmission wave frequency-swept by a frequency control circuit and a reflected wave is detected, and a frequency component of the detected signal is analyzed by an analysis circuit, and a distance is calculated on the basis of the analysis result. The frequency control circuit performs sweeps of an oscillation frequency a plurality of times. Distance data existing at all times in distance data each of which is calculated by a distance calculation circuit each time, is determined to be a true value by a distance determination circuit. Consequently, even if wrong distance data is calculated by the distance calculation circuit due to exogenous noise, interference, or the like in one of the plural oscillation frequency sweeps, the distance determination circuit does not determine the distance data to be the true value unless wrong distance data is calculated in the other oscillation frequency sweeps. Accordingly, an error in distance data determined to be the true value is unlikely to occur, and therefore reliability of distance measurement can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
