<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can maintain normal delivery even though a recording medium skews, and can prevent the deterioration of recording. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus calculates a skew amount of the recording medium based on recording images 701-704 and decides a nozzle width used for recording in advance (for 8 nozzles). The apparatus decides nozzles (nozzles 11-18) used for preliminarily delivery based on the decided nozzle width and preliminarily delivery is performed with the decided nozzles.
