<p>The embodiment of the present invention provides a method for tone reservation and the method includes: the variance of pilot data of each subchannel in the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access (OFDMA) system is determined respectively; and the subchannel with the maximum variance of pilot data is determined to be the reserved subchannel. The embodiment of the present invention provides a method and device for tone reservation and can solve the problem of increased transmission error rate caused by using the subchannel with poor channel conditions to transmit useful data while the subchannel with good channel conditions is reserved, due to the direct reservation of certain subchannel in the prior method of tone reservation. The present invention determines the subchannel with poor channel conditions to be the reserved subchannel according to the variance of pilot data or the expectation of pilot data, and thus the subchannel with good channel conditions is used to transmit useful data. Data transmission error rate can be lowered, Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) can be lowered, and OFDMA system performance is improved.</p> |
