PURPOSE: An underwater power generating device is provided to prevent the interior air of a housing from dissolving in the seawater by employing an oil port for forming an oil layer between an air layer and a seawater layer in case of sinking. CONSTITUTION: An underwater power generating device comprises a housing(10), a generator(20), a driving shaft(30), and a power transmission(40). The housing is sealed on the outer circumference thereof and includes a seawater port(11) and an oil port(12) for drawing in oil so that an oil layer(0) is interposed between an air layer(A) and a seawater layer under the water, thereby protecting the generator from the seawater. The generator is installed on the top inside the housing. The driving shaft is pivotally installed on the bottom inside the housing and rotated by tidal and wave power. The power transmission delivers the torque of the driving shaft to the generator.
