A lawful interception method and a lawful interception device are provided. The lawful interception method includes the following steps. An interception center assigns an interception task to an interception network element (NE) to request to intercept interception targets. The interception NE reports user plane data of corresponding service sessions of the interception targets satisfying an interception reporting policy according to the received interception task and the configured interception reporting policy.
