The invention relates to a method for producing a construction element, especially a panel, consisting of wood fibres, wood chips and/or sawdust. According to the inventive method, glue is applied to wood fibres, wood chips and/or sawdust, and the wood fibres, wood chips and/or sawdust provided with glue are compressed to form a construction element, especially a panel. The wood fibres, wood chips and/or sawdust are cooked in such a way that they decompose into solid and liquid constituents. The liquid constituents are separated and cooled in the sealed gastight system, before leaving the same. Odour pollution during the production is thus strongly reduced. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method and components which are produced according to said method. |
