PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing 2-arylnaphthalene, 2-arylquinoline derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for diagnosing or treating neurodegenerative diseases is provided. CONSTITUTION: A 2-arylnaphthalene, 2-arylquinoline derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the derivative of chemical formula 1 comprises: a step of reacting 2-bromonaphthalene derivative of chemical formula 4 with boron compound((iPrO)_3B) under the presence of an organic solvent to prepare a compound of chemical formula 5; and a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 5 with aryl halide(4-Hal-Ph-R2) under the presence of an organic solvent and catalyst to prepare a compound of chemical formula 1a. A pharmaceutical composition for diagnosing or treating neurodegerative diseases contains 2-arynaphthalene, 2-arylquinoline derivative, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.
