<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving gradation reproducibility in pseudo gradation expression using FRC. <P>SOLUTION: A display device outputting a video based on a video signal using a frame rate control for reproducing intermediate gradation in time sequential combination of predetermined frame patterns has gradation value detection means for detecting a gradation value of a video signal, pseudo gradation data creating means for generating pseudo gradation data where a division number of the intermediate gradation in a predetermined gradation region is changed so that the number of pseudo gradations reproduced by the frame rate control coincides with the number of a gradation designated by the video signal when the detected gradation value corresponds to a high gradation region, and display means for displaying a video using the generated pseudo gradation data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
