<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable cylinder lock having a keyhole whose code can easily be changed and can be changed to the same keyhole code any number of times. <P>SOLUTION: A variable cylinder lock 1 has an outer cylinder 2 and an inner cylinder 3. At least two of outside tumblers 5 are interlock tumblers 25 that operate interlocking with each other, and a change assistance tumbler 8 for changing a code of a keyhole 17 is interposed between a holding side tumbler 26 that is one of the outside tumblers of the interlock tumblers 25 and an inside tumbler 7 (basic state).
