<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mixture of exhaust air at a junction in an exhaust device composed so that an auxiliary passage joins a main passage composing an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The junctions 33 and 34 of the two or more auxiliary passages 3b and 3c with the main passage 3a are at mutually different positions as for a flow direction of the main passage 3a, and confluence directions of the two or more auxiliary flow passages 3b and 3c with the main passage 3a are different from each other in a flow direction of the main passage 3a in an orthogonal cross section and include an identical swirling direction component in the main passage 3a. The generation of an eddy in the main passage 3a is promoted, and the mixture of exhaust air is promoted. A pressure loss caused by the collision of the exhaust air from the a plurality of auxiliary passages 3b and 3c can be suppressed since directions of the exhaust air entering from the plurality of auxiliary passages 3b and 3c to the main passage 3a are twisted with each other and does not cross each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
