<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle which prevents foreign matter from intruding into a plug blade insertion port and can be easily assembled into an apparatus, and also to provide a charge device equipped with the receptacle. <P>SOLUTION: The receptacle 10 includes: a receptacle body 20 having the plug blade insertion port 25 into which blades of a plug are inserted on the front face; and a door body 31 which is mounted on the front face of this receptacle body 20 and displaceable between a closing position to cover the plug blade insertion port 25 and an opening position to expose the plug blade insertion port 25 to the outside. On the receptacle body 20, a projection 23 is provided which protrudes from the front face of the receptacle body 20 toward the front side.
