POROUS CATALYST, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous catalyst exhibiting a high capacity of storing/releasing oxygen by virtue of cerium oxide present therein subsequent to exposure to a high temperature condition and excellent catalytic activity at a low temperature by virtue of platinum present therein.

SOLUTION: The porous catalyst includes a porous alumina skeleton constituted of an alumina fiber with its surface uniformly modified with a solid solution of cerium oxide (CeO2) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2), and platinum (Pt) embedded and dispersed in the porous alumina skeleton.
