<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability in copying or moving objects to other areas with a gesture operation. <P>SOLUTION: Information for showing a gesture operation by users and the location on a display area, where the gesture operation is performed, is acquired. A first gesture operation for instructing to select objects in the display area and a second gesture operation for instructing to select any area in the display area, are determined based on the acquired information. An object 31 selected according to the first gesture operation and an area 41 selected according to the second gesture operation are identified. A third gesture operation that instructs the process for the identified object 31 is determined, while the object 31 and area 41 are identified.
