<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveling member capable of forming a display layer, in which a plurality of microcapsules is uniformly arranged, in a simple and reliable manner, a display layer forming apparatus and a display layer forming method. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a leveling member 83 for leveling a coating film 110 containing a plurality of microcapsules 40 that accommodates electrophoresis particles 5 movably therein. The leveling member 83 has a base part 831 and a contact part 832 that is disposed at the base part 831 and has a plurality of linear members 833, which independently moves from one another, arranged thereon in a predetermined direction. Moreover, the leveling member 83 is configured so as to uniformly level the microcapsules 40 contained in the coating film 110 by relatively moving in a direction different from the predetermined direction viewed from top of the coating film 110 while bringing the coating film 110 and the contact part 832 into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
