A unit for separating admixtures from roots comprises a feed conveyer, above a working branch of which a screw is mounted which is made as a cylinder carrying elastic spiral turns, and resilient cleaning blades which are arranged on the cylinder of the screw along a screw line located therebetween. The screw is a two-section one with the direction of coiling the elastic spiral turns of one section opposite to the direction of coiling the elastic spiral turns of the second section towards corresponding outlet ends of the screw.
