The method includes: when the cuff pressure of the electronic blood pressure meter reaches a predetermined characteristic air pressure value, sending the air pressure value measured at the current time; comparing the received air pressure value measured at the current time and the correspondence between the stored characteristic air pressure value and actual measured value to obtain the measurement error ratio of the electronic blood pressure meter. The present invention can obtain the measurement error of the electronic blood pressure meter by comparing the measured value corresponding to the characteristic air pressure value with the stored actual measured value, can detect the error of the electronic blood pressure meter without additional pressure sensor and without requiring the operator to have corresponding medical knowledge, and presents the advantage of rapid and accurate error detection.
