<p>The present invention relates to an elevator for moving objects between the floors of a skyscraper, and more particularly, to an elevator for a skyscraper, including at least one first cage and at least one second cage which are installed in two shafts that serve as vertical passages in a building. The first and second cages are connected together by means of a hoist rope such that they move in opposite directions. In detail, according to the present invention, an elevator provided in one of two shafts of a skyscraper includes: a traction machine installed at the top of the shafts and rotating a pulley by means of power supplied by a drive motor; a hoist rope wound around the pulley of the traction machine; a first cage and a second cage, which are coupled to either end of said hoist rope so as to move in opposite directions along the shafts; a generator rope connecting the first cage to the second cage; and a generator including a rotor, around which the generator rope is wound and which is provided in the form of a pulley, such that the generator generates power when the first and second cages move.</p> |
