PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fused protein prepared by fusing a T7RNA polymerase-like polypeptide with a heterogeneous protein, and to provide a method for producing the heterogeneous protein from the fused protein prepared by fusing the T7RNA polymerase-like polypeptide with the heterogeneous protein.

SOLUTION: There are provided: the fused protein prepared by fusing the heterogeneous protein with the carboxy terminal of the T7RNA polymerase-like polypeptide containing the at least 1 to 857 positions of the T7RNA polymerase directly or through a linker comprising one or more residues of amino acids; and the method for hydrolyzing the fused protein with a protease to produce the heterogeneous protein.
