<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert thermal energy to readily usable energy such as electric energy without deterioration of the overall performance of a circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A closed circuit operating according to a Rankine cycle includes: a circulation and compression pump (12) for a working fluid in liquid form; a heat exchanger (20) exposed to a hot source (22) for evaporation of the fluid; an expansion means (28) for expanding the fluid in vapor form; and a cooling heat exchanger (32) for condensing the fluid by passing a cooling fluid between an inlet face (38) and an outlet face (40). This circuit further includes thermopiles (44) for capturing and converting the thermal energy coming from the cooling heat exchanger (32) to electric energy, and the thermopiles are arranged in the flow of the heated cooling fluid coming from the outlet face (40) of the cooling heat exchanger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
