PURPOSE: An edge dam for a twin roll type casting machine is provided to prevent edge crack by solidifying molten metal at uniform thickness in the whole casting area. CONSTITUTION: An edge dam for a twin roll type casting machine comprises a mounting part(110) which is coupled to a bearing block of a twin roll type casting machine, a pressing part(160) one end of which is coupled to the mounting part and the other end of which is extended to a side edge of a casting roll by passing through the bearing block, and an edge dam(100) which is coupled to the pressing part and pressed to an open part of the side edge of the casting roll by the force of the pressing part, thereby preventing the leakage of molten metal through the open part during casting.
